The excellence of Drydocks World Dubai (DDWD), the ship repair, marine and offshore services business, recently received Certificates of Authorisation from The American Society of Mechanical Engineer (ASME), underscoring its quality of service and living up to its motto of being “The World´s Shipyard”.
The company has also received Certificates of Authorisation for new construction of boiler external piping, pressure vessels and parts from the National Board of Boiler and Pressure Vessel Inspectors for metallic repair and alteration of pressure retaining items. These certifications will allow DDWD to supply its products and services to clients, as well as boost the company´s contribution in helping grow the Middle East´s power and energy sector.
From a business perspective, receiving these certificates now is ideal as the pressure vessel market is estimated to increase by USD 10.6 billion over the next five years, from USD 42,7 billion to USD 53,3 billion in 2025.
